Life History (just a bit of it)
- Grew up in DeKalb, Illinois, with one brother, one sister, two parents
- Attended University of Illinois, graduated in 1971, hired by IBM Poughkeepsie
- Met my wife, nee: Margarete Bidowski, at IBM. We resigned in March 1973 and were married on July 7.
- Opened The Bicycle Rack and moved to New Paltz in January 1974
- Have two daughters, Heather (1975) and Wanda (1977)
- Purchased our home at 5 Shivertown Road in 1976
- Retired from The Bicycle Rack, December 2003

  Worked in Product Test department. Analysed systems programs during development stage. Wrote testing programs. Met my wife.
- 1974 - 2003 Self-Employed - The Bicycle Rack, New Paltz, NY Owner
  During the 1980's I purchased my first home computer. Learned word processing. Purchased software to computerize my accounting functions.
  Purchased and learned the programmable database, dBASE II, now upgraded to dBASE SE. Developed a sophisticated inventory management system that is still in use today.
  In 1999 learned the basics of HTML and, with the help of Mike Kilmer, developed a web site for The Bicycle Rack

  We are proud of our contribution to the Downtown New Paltz business community. The property is landscaped with topiary, spring bulbs and a variety of annual plantings. With the cooperation of our excellent tenants, Mike Kilmer of The Bicycle Rack, and David Santner of The Bakery, we are helping to make New Paltz an attractive and welcoming place to shop and do business.
